If you are concerned you don’t have the required academic or English skills to gain a place at Liverpool John Moores University, we are here to help. The International Study Centre runs specialist programmes which prepare international students for undergraduate and postgraduate study in the UK. 

Programmes are provided by Study Group, in collaboration with Liverpool John Moores University, to ensure you gain the skills you need for university study.

Once you have successfully completed your preparation programme and met the progression criteria, you can begin your chosen university degree. In 2023, 88% of students who completed their pathway programme at the International Study Centre were eligible to progress to a degree at Liverpool John Moores University.

Study Group is a private pathway provider to be accepted on to the Office for Students (OfS) Register of English higher education providers. This means we meet the OfS requirements for course quality, academic standards, student support and student protection, meaning International Study Centre students can now access the same range of benefits as students attending other UK public universities.

Your wellbeing matters

We’re committed to supporting your positive wellbeing and mental health both prior to your enrolment and whilst you are studying with us. For that reason, we offer a free Student Assistance Programme (SAP) to help you deal with any personal or student related problems that might be affecting your studies or day-to-day life.
